Recovery In Community, Inc. ("RIC")
believes that no individual should come to our program
with nothing, AND leave with nothing. Therefore, we have an
open door, walk-in policy that affords everyone needing
assistance access to needed services immediately. RIC is a
state certified one (1) year program, which utilizes
cognitive behavioral therapy, along with a comprehensive
curriculum designed for success to allow all consumers the
chance to change and improve their lives free of illegal and
illicit drugs.
RIC’s
mission is to contribute to the quality of life by reducing
substance abuse primarily in Franklin Square, Boyd-Booth,
and Fayette Street outreach communities of Southwest
Baltimore. RIC is a community focused program where
comprehensive long-term commitment to substance abuse
prevention, intervention, and treatment are provided to
individuals, families, and communities.
Executive Director, Lena M.
Franklin, and Program Director, George E. Stewart are joined
by a certified team of substance abuse professionals,
as well as partnering with a licensed mental health
therapist, acupuncturist, and other health practitioners to
provide a holistic health approach to treatment and service
provision.
Referrals accepted from Parole and Probation, DSS, CPS, Employee Assistance Programs
(EAP), individuals and community organizations.
RIC services are available to
ALL Baltimore City Residents.
RIC is committed to providing
NO COST/low cost, effective, contemporary, comprehensive
care for substance abuse, and related issues.
Counseling
and referral services are accessible and available Monday –Friday, on a
walk in basis; with intakes conducted daily.
